As with most major Capital cities in the World, London is served with an unrivalled amount of airlines and flight options. Heathrow and Gatwick are the 2 major International Airports and are both within quick reach of Central London (Heathrow 15 minutes, Gatwick 30 minutes) using the express train services to Paddington and Victoria respectively.

If you prefer to see Europe at ground level, the trains into Paris and other parts of Europe are excellent. The sensational new St Pancras Station offers the Eurostar service to Paris with a journey time of just 2 hours and 15 minutes. The train uses the Eurotunnel which runs under the English Channel to France.
There is also a bewildering choice of ferries and coaches travelling between Britain, Ireland and mainland Europe.
